Two clubs in opposite conferences of MLS will do battle today in a league match between the San Jose Earthquakes and Chicago Fire. The first-division clash scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET will be held at Buck Shaw Stadium in San Jose and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on NBC Sports.
Both teams enter today's match in desperate need of a victory, with the playoffs not in the future for either side. Captain Chris Wondolowski understands more than three points are on the line this evening. An entire season is resting on one result.
"We are done with silver linings right now," Wondolowski said (via MLS's official website). "It is halfway through the season so we need to get wins in games like that [one against the New York Red Bulls]. We need to get better. We had chances, I had chances and I could have done better. If we finish those chances, we would have walked out of here with three points and not one."
