The Houston Rockets’ breakup with former small forward Chandler Parsons has now gotten ugly on Twitter. After comments earlier this week were made by James Harden, Houston’s leading scorer, about the team being fine without their departed teammate Parsons’ brother profanely blasted Harden via social media.

“James Harden forgot how he got his start,” Parsons’ brother Chris tweeted with a probably-NSFW hashtag. He then launched some less aggressive tweets comparing Harden and Chandler Parsons’ careers at similar points, citing Parsons’ slightly superior stats as a third banana to two larger stars.
Parsons, 25, averaged 16.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game to help Houston win 54 games last season, his third year.

Harden’s quote was “Dwight (Howard) and I are the cornerstones of the Rockets. The rest of the guys are role players or pieces that complete our team. We’ve lost some pieces and added some pieces. I think we’ll be fine next season.”

Chandler Parsons also responded to Harden’s comments via Twitter, although he travelled a higher road than his brother did. "It's a pretty ridiculous statement, if he meant that. I'm excited to go to DAL. I'm ready for next step, a bigger role,” Parsons said according to Alex Kennedy of BasketballInsiders.com.
