In 2013, Forbes' Darren Heitner reported that Cash Money Records filed a trademark for Visionaire Sports Group on Oct. 25. The trademark filed was made to protect the sports group when used in connection with "sports agency services, namely, management, representation and promotion of professional athletes; business management of sports people; talent recruiting services in the field of sports and other sports-related ventures."

The time to put that trademark to use appears to be now.

According to TMZ, Wayne has been wanting to get into the sports management business for some time and had his sights set on Ronaldo. The reason, however, isn't because he was named "Forbes' 30th Most Powerful Celebrity." Admittedly, that should play a role, but Wayne's justification is friendship.

TMZ's sources had this additional information to offer: "Weezy's company will be working with PolarisSports—which is affiliated with the CAA agency and GestiFute—through which Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes operates."

Visionaire Sports Group will be responsible for Ronaldo's sports management affairs in the United States, including branding, modeling, marketing and endorsement deals.

Much to Lil Wayne's delight, Ronaldo took to Twitter to show his excitement for the announcement, posting a photo with the Prime Minister of Japan and dozens of others holding the YMCMB sign.
