Two clubs in the Western Conference of MLS will do battle today in a league match between the Colorado Rapids and Chivas USA. The first-division clash scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET will be held at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Colorado and can be live streamed here.
Despite falling to the Portland Timbers late, optimism remains high in Colorado. Head coach Pablo Mastroeni believes the attitude and efforts of his men will ultimately pan out. "I thought the guys went out there and played hard," he said during the postgame (via Chris Bianchi on MLS's official website). "I think we lost to a world-class strike, and sometimes you have to tip your hat. We were digging deep."
Club captain Drew Moor added: "We've got some young guys in there, we've got some guys banged up in there, but if we put forth that effort and that attitude and just tighten things up a little bit more, then we're going to make the playoffs and make a good run at it."
