The Florida Gators 2014 season lives and dies on the arm and adaptation of senior quarterback Jeff Driskel, but it was four-star recruit and incoming freshman Will Grier that turned heads for the Gators on Monday. Grier showed off his freakish athleticism after a workout with teammate DeAndre Goolsby.

Yes, the man caught a ball mid-backflip after a college level workout at one of the top SEC schools in college football. Grier isn’t expected to see the field in 2014 as he sits behind Driskel on the depth chart. The Gators are also in the middle of an offensive renaissance as new offensive coordinator Kurt Roper brings in a new high-scoring scheme.

Grier was recruited out of Davidson day high school in Davidson, North Carolina and is the second rated dual-threat quarterback in the 2014 class according to Rivals. Grier is the No. 46 ranked high school player in the nation and is the future hope of the Gators at quarterback.

Driskel is expected to lead the Gators in 2014, but after this season this team is expected to pass to Grier. The Gators entered the 2013 season ranked No. 10 in the nation, but faltered early and often on their way to the programs first losing record since 1979.

The Gators failed to become bowl eligible for the first time since 1990 when they were on NCAA probation.
