WHITE SOX vs TIGERS Watch FREE Live Stream Online & Listen: Live Coverage from DETROIT

Tonight at 7:08 p.m. ET, the Chicago White Sox (51-55) and Detroit Tigers (57-45) open up a three-game set live from Comerica Park in Detroit. The game can be live streamed for free here. Chicago fans can hear all of the action on WSCR 670 while Detroit fans can do the same on 97.1 The Ticket.

Chicago continues a seven-game road trip after taking three of four from the Minnesota Twins while Detroit embarks on a six-game homestand after a 3-4 finish to a seven-game road swing. The Tigers enter atop the American League Central standings with a five-game lead while the White Sox are in fourth place, eight games behind their opponent.

Jose Quintana (5-7, 3.15 ERA) takes the mound for Chicago while Detroit counters with Anibal Sanchez, who is 7-4 with a 3.45 ERA.

Sanchez has alternated wins and losses this month and has run into trouble in the middle innings.

"We've seen that a few times in his last few starts," Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said via MLB.com. "It's possible some guys tire gradually as the game goes on and some guys, all of a sudden ... they hit a wall, lose a little bit of the oomph behind the ball."

Sanchez will try to shut down a White Sox lineup that is flanked by Jose Abreu, who leads the MLB with 30 homers and a .619 slugging percentage. Abreu also ranks second in the AL in RBI (79), total bases (223) and OPS (.963).

Despite the White Sox place in the standings, manager Robin Ventura believes the team's starting rotation has been a boost.

"I think any time you have a staff like that, you're going to be in some games and you can [make a run]." Ventura told MLB.com.

Ventura's staff will look to silence a potent Detroit offense. First baseman Miguel Cabrera leads the MLB with 81 RBI and the AL with 36 doubles while designated-hitter Victor Martinez ranks fourth in the AL in batting average (.320), slugging percentage (.566) and OPS (.949) and fifth in on-base percentage (.383).

Two AL Central rivals go head-to-head when the Tigers host the White Sox tonight at Comerica Park in Detroit.
