The Philadelphia Phillies have remained steadfast in the their demands for a package of top prospects in return for left-hander Cole Hamels and they've continued to pursue the best deal with Thursday's MLB non-waiver trade deadline looming.

CBS Sports reports that the Phillies have asked the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers for a package of prospects in a potential deal with Hamels, leading to the notion they aren't serious about dealing the franchise lefty.
It was reported earlier this week that the Phillies were "frustrated" with the slow developments in trade talks as the team looks to ship off most of its veterans, but rival executives get the feeling that Philadelphia isn't keen on trading Hamels based on their ridiculous demands for a return.

Hamels, who is 5-5 with a 2.72 ERA, has been the subject of trade rumors for the last few weeks, but it seems that while the Phillies are looking to shed a lot of their veterans, they aren't seriously considering moving Hamels unless it's for a huge return.
Despite already making moves to shore up their rotation, the Yankees are still looking for more pitching as four out of their five Opening Day starters have been lost to injury. The Yankees are looking to make a splash as they continue to compete in the American League East and AL wild-card races.
The Red Sox could use Hamels for next season, especially if they lose left-hander Jon Lester to a trade before Thursday's deadline or to free agency this winter.
The Dodgers are looking to have all-hands-on-deck as the team has been linked to Hamels, Lester and the Rays' David Price so far as they continue to slug it out with the San Francisco Giants in the National League West.
Still, the Phillies demands make it hard for any team to realistically trade for Hamels unless their stance and demands shift before Thursday afternoon.
Hamels, 30, iwas drafted by the Phillies No. 17 overall in the 2002 draft, and is 105-79 with them lifetime with a 2.55 ERA. Amid all the rumors that come this time of year, it is doubtful that Hamels will be switching teams by the deadline.
