Paul George Leg Injury [VIDEO]: Floyd Mayweather Jr. Visits Injured Pacers Star In Hospital [PHOTO]

On Friday night the NBA and especially the Indiana Pacers suffered a major blow when superstar forward Paul George snapped his leg in a Team USA scrimmage while contesting a James Harden layup. George broke his tibia and fibula when he leg landed awkwardly against the base of the hoop, requiring an air cast to be placed on it as he lay on the court.

The game was called off in the fourth quarter, as it was merely a scrimmage, and since then support has poured in for George from all walks of athletics. Most recently, Floyd Mayweather Jr., the top pound-for-pound boxer in the world, paid George a visit.

George posted a photo of himself with Mayweather, and wrote up this caption: "Appreciate the champ @floydmayweather visiting me in the hospital.. Gave me some great advice and kept my spirits high!! Appreciate you once again big bro! #TBE #TMTFollow."

George spent much of last season as an MVP candidate and scored a career-high 21.7 points per game to go with 6.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists a night. On top of that offensive production, he was one of the NBA's elite wing defenders, and led the Pacers to an Eastern Conference Finals berth.

As for Mayweather, he is preparing to defend his WBC and WBA welterweight titles against Marcos "El Chino" Maidana, who battled hard against him in May and lost a split decision. Mayweather will be going for his 47th straight victory, and will enter the ring with a flawless record of 46-0-0, with 26 of those victories coming by way of knockout.
