Tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET, the New Orleans Saints and St. Louis Rams kick off their preseasons live from the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. The game can be live streamed here. New Orleans fans can hear all of the action on WWL 870 while St. Louis fans can do the same on 101.1 ESPN St. Louis.
New Orleans is coming off of a sesaon where it finished 11-5 and in second place in the NFC South before losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks in the divisional round whie St. Louis is coming off of a season where it finished 4-12 and missed the playoffs for the fifth straight season.
The Saints had a busy offseason and come into the season loaded with weapons for Drew Brees, who likely won't see much time due to the fact that its preseason Game 1 and he's nursing an oblique injury. Brees went 446-for-650 (68.6 percent) for 5,162 yards with 39 touchdowns and 12 interceptions last season.
One of Drews favorite targets last season was tight end Jimmy Graham, who amassed 86 receptions for 1,215 yards and 16 touchdowns. Pierre Thomas paced the New Orleans ground game last season, rushing for 549 yards on 147 carries while reaching the end zone twice.
The Rams had a memorable 2014 NFL draft which included acquisitions of Michael Sam and Tre Mason as they look to help turn the team's misfortunes around.
Quarterback Sam Bradford is doubtful to play much tonight, but he comes back after lasting just seven games in 2013 by going 159-262 (60.7 percent) for 1,687 yards with14 scores and four interceptions.
Zac Stacy led St. Louis' rushing game last season, carrying the ball 250 times for 973 yards and reaching the end zone seven times while tight end Jared Cook led the team with 671 receiving yards off of 51 receptions for five scores.
The preseason gets underway for the Saints and the Rams when they clash tonight at the Edward Jones Dome tonight in St. Louis.
