TIGERS vs RAYS Watch Live Stream Online & Listen: Live Coverage from TAMPA BAY

Tonight at 7:10 p.m. ET the Detroit Tigers (66-56) will kick off a three-game series vs. the Tampa Bay Rays (61-63) at Tropicana Field with former ace David Price returning to Tampa in the opposing dugout. Chris Archer (8-6, 3.24 ERA) will take the hill for the Rays against Max Scherzer (14-4, 2.98 ERA) of Detroit. Tigers fans can hear the radio broadcast on 97.1 The Ticket, while Rays fans may do the same by turning their dials to WDAE 620 AM. Live stream the game by clicking this link.

The Rays are likely out of any playoff chase, but the Tigers are unexpectedly fighting for their lives lately. They are two games behind the first-place Kansas City Royals, but luckily have their best pitcher in 2014 toeing the rubber. Scherzer struck out 14 batters his last time out.

"I was thinking about it, but not for the reason you probably think," Scherzer said after setting down eight on strikes in the first four innings. "When I'm getting that many strikeouts early, it means I've throwing all four of my pitches, I'm getting hitters into the kill-zone counts and I'm putting them away. When that's happening, I know I'm probably going to have a good day."

While the Tigers eye October, the Rays will be trying to play good baseball while not minding the distraction of ex-ace Price being across the field from them.

"I think that everybody in the clubhouse is beyond the 'weird factor,' the strangeness of it," Archer said. "It is what it is. It is what it's gonna be. I'm not really gonna be thinking about who's in the other dugout, to be honest with you."

Since joining the Tigers, Price has gone 1-0 with a 3.18 ERA in 22 innings of work. His strikeout to walk ratio has dipped dramatically since switching uniforms-it stood at 8.22 in Tampa Bay, while he's posted a 3.83 mark in Detroit.
