Eric Bledsoe Trade Rumors: Suns Looking To Deal 'Mini-LeBron,' Lakers And Julius Randle Best Fit? [VIDEO]

The Phoenix Suns have a glut of guards, and with Eric Bledsoe reportedly still seeking a max contract the team is looking into dealing him.

Phoenix reporter Jude LaCava said reports about the Suns actively seeking a trade involving Bledsoe can be taken "to the bank."

"I'll tell you this, and I think this is the first time it's reported," LaCava said on Tuesday, "I do believe in my NBA sources. You can take this to the bank, so to speak, the Suns are now discussing trade possibilities for Eric Bledsoe. That's the new chapter to this and I wouldn't back off of that information. I think it's 100% correct."

At 24 years old Bledsoe had a career year in his first opportunity as a starter, averaging 17.7 points, 5.5 assists and 4.7 rebounds in 33 minutes a night, while also terrorizing opponents on defense to the tune of nearly two steals per game.

Despite that production the Suns aren't yet convinced he's worthy of such a lengthy and expensive commitment-according to LaCava that's what has turned Bledsoe off.

"That's where the relationship went south in the early weeks last year," LaCava said. "The guys at the top made a decision that we're not going to extend you right away, we want to see you play first. And I think that was a bit of an affront, at least from Eric Bledsoe's perspective. And I don't think it ever recovered after that."

While no possible trade partners were named, the Lakers have been talked about previously as a Bledsoe destination. They are thin at point guard with Steve Nash at the top of the depth chart, and just drafted the Kentucky power forward Julius Randle. Power forward is a position of need for the Suns.
