ESPN Anchor Neil Everett Calls Out SportsCenter for Questionable News Judgment [VIDEO]

SportsCenter anchorman Neil Everett appeared annoyed with ESPN. Now, ESPN may be annoyed with Everett.

Larry Brown Sports posted a youtube.com video of Everett, an on-air personality for the Worldwide Leader in Sports, in which Everett appears perturbed at the lack of time devoted to the story of the death of 21-year-old Jason Bitsko, a football player at Kent State who was found dead in his off-campus apartment on Wednesday.

Johnny Manziel's middle-finger gesture costs him a chance at starting job?

According to Larry Brown Sports, Bitsko received an award during this year's spring game for "exemplifying hard work and dedication," He died from an undetermined medical condition. His death has already had a huge impact on the Kent State community."

ESPN devoted less than 30 seconds of its news coverage to Bitsko's death on Thursday night, and Everett clearly was unhappy. He took a rare moment to bash his employer's fondness for the sports world's glamor names over what he felt was more substantive news.

"You know, guys like Bitsko don't get headlines," Everett quipped on SportsCenter, as reported by Larry Brown Sports. "Those go to (Johnny) Manziel not starting in Cleveland and (Braxton) Miller unable to play in Ohio."

Larry Brown Sports went on to report that Everett has been with ESPN for almost 15 years, but that didn't stop him from taking a shot at the mighty sports network. The website also was sympathetic to the ESPN anchor's anger (his real name is Neil Everett Morfitt).

"Point taken. Everett has been with ESPN for nearly 15 years, but I'm sure the World Wide Leader is not going to appreciate him basically bashing the network to its own audience," Larry Brown Sports reported. "That doesn't mean he was wrong."
