Floyd Mayweather Jr. Next Fight: Distraction Caused By 50 Cent's Embarrassing ALS Challenge Invite [VIDEO]

Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s upcoming fight with Marcos Maidana is drawing near, but rapper/promoter 50 Cent is causing a stir online with a challenge he issued to the pound-for-pound champion.

In a video posted online, 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, offered to pay $750,000 to any charity or cause of Mayweather's choosing if he could read one page of a Harry Potter book.

"This is a special ALS/ELS challenge for you Floyd," 50 said. "If you could read one full page of a 'Harry Potter' book ... I'll give $750,000 to whatever charitable organization you want to. F**k the bucket of ice, man."

Later on Instagram, he elaborated on his challenge and made fun of the champion further, telling him to "read a full page ... without starting and stopping or f**king up."

50 Cent's challenge comes not long after rapper Nelly took a shot at Mayweather on ESPN for not graduating high school. Nelly is dating Shantel Jackson, whom Mayweather previously dated, then accused of aborting twins he had with her.

"I don't have a beef with Floyd Mayweather," Nelly said on Highly Questionable. "I think the whole thing is misunderstood. I try to understand where he's coming from, which is a little hard to do ... It's kind of hard talking to a guy who hasn't graduated from high school."

Mayweather may not have graduated high school, but he is the highest-paid athlete of 2014 according to Forbes, having earned $105 million as of June.
