Timberwolves [Trade]: Philadelphia Power Forward Thaddeus Young Is Bound For Minnesota To Replace Kevin Love [VIDEO]

The Philadelphia 76ers will be part of the deal that sends All-Star power forward Kevin Love from Minnesota to Cleveland. An NBA source with knowledge of the pending transaction told ESPN.com on Thursday that MInnesota will acquire power forward Thaddeus Young from Philadelphia.

In addition to Young, the Timberwolves will receive 2014 No. 1 overall draft pick Andrew Wiggins and 2013 No. 1 overall draft pick Anthony Bennett from Cleveland. The Sixers get reserve players, power forward Luc Richard Mbah A Moute and point guard Alexey Shved, as well as a future first-round draft pick from MInnesota.

The teams can officially consummate the deal on Saturday. NBA rules prohibit the Cavaliers from trading Wiggins until 30 days have passed from the time he signed his rookie contract.

Love, who can become an unrestricted free agent next summer, has stated he will not re-sign with Minnesota and expressed a desire to join LeBron James in Cleveland. A three-time All-Star, the 6-foot-10 Love averaged 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds last season.

Young, who has two years remaining on his contract, averaged 17.9 points during the 2013-2014 season.

Lofty expectations were place on Bennett last season, but he fell far short of meeting them. He averaged just 4.2 points and three rebounds as a rookie. As the season progressed his playing time diminished.
