TNA Wrestling News And Rumors: Update On Bully Ray And Spike TV Negotiations [VIDEO]

Amid contract negotiations with Spike TV to keep Impact Wrestling on the network long-term, TNA is not renewing any expiring deals for upper-tier talents which is partially the reason why Bully Ray is departing the company.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that there are several more TNA contracts that are set to expire soon and the talents may follow Bully Ray out the door because word came down that TNA won't be signing any highly-paid talents when their deals run out until a pact is in place with TNA.

PWInsider noted as of this past Monday that a source at Spike TV said the negotiations are ongoing with TNA but there's nothing new to report as far as a long-term deal is concerned.

It was initially reported a few weeks ago that Spike TV was looking to drop Impact Wrestling from its schedule come October, but the two sides have at least worked out a deal to keep the company's flagship show on the network for at least the rest of 2014. TNA hopes that Spike TV will work out a lengthy deal with them.

Regarding Bully Ray, Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that those close to him had no idea that his contract was due to expire. Bully Ray was saying goodbyes this past Sunday at a TNA live event which gave people the impression he was leaving and never coming back to the company.

Bully Ray's contract will officially be up this coming weekend, and he will be able to negotiate with anyone he wants to. Regarding a possible return to WWE, there have been reports that the WWE isn't high on bringing him back and that he's had his differences in the past with Randy Orton.

TNA is set to begin a three-match series between Team 3D, The Hardy Boys and the TNA Tag Team Champions The Wolves on this Wednesday's episode of Impact Wrestling. In addition to the team that wins the initial match getting to pick the stipulation for the following week's match, the first team to win two matches in the series will win the titles.

Bully Ray is gone from the company and others may soon be following him once their deal is up as TNA continues to work toward a long-term deal with Spike TV.
