New York Yankees Rumors: Mariners 2B Robinson Cano Has 'No Regrets' About Leaving Bronx Bombers [VIDEO]

The offensively inept New York Yankees certainly miss Robinson Cano in the middle of their lineup, but the Seattle Mariners second baseman doesn't seem to miss them -- or at least he has no regrets about moving to the Pacific Northwest.

Cano, whose Mariners (68-58) enter Friday with a better overall record than the Yankees (64-61) and are ahead of them by 3.5 games in the American League wild-card race, has no regrets about the 10-year $240 million pact he made with Seattle this winter.

"I don't have any regrets about what I did," Cano said Thursday night at his Roc Nation charity basketball game at Barclays Center, according to ESPN. "I made my decision."

Cano has been arguably the best second baseman in Major League Baseball helping the Mariners climb to within a half-game of the Detroit Tigers for the second wild-card spot.

Cano leads all MLB second baseman in on-base percentage (.397), slugging percentage (.469), OPS (.865) and RBI (69). His power numbers have gone down as he's only launched 11 homers this season, but he leads the Mariners with a .329 batting average, 153 hits and 66 runs scored.

The Yankees meanwhile come into Friday with a .249 team batting average, good enough for just 19th in the league and could use his bat as the offense has continued to struggle all year, ranking 23rd in the league with 490 runs scored this season.

"I mean, you gotta understand that some of their guys are getting hurt, and it just means they're not the best," Cano said after saying "you gotta ask them" when asked if the Bronx Bombers miss his bat.

With the Yankees just four games out of the second wild-card spot after dropping two of three to the lowly Houston Astros this week, Cano doesn't count his old team out of anything.

"I don't count them out," he said. "They've got a good team."

Cano, who spent his first nine seasons with the Yankees, has a career batting average of .311 with 215 homers and 891 RBI.
