Cleveland Cavaliers Acquire Power Forward Kevin Love From Minnesota In Three-Team Trade [VIDEO]

Power forward Kevin Love officially became a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers after the long-rumored deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves was finalized Saturday.

The Philadelphia 76ers were also part of the transaction.

In the three-team deal, Minnesota receives highly touted rookie forward Andrew Wiggins and second-year forward Anthony Bennett from Cleveland. Wiggins and Bennett were selected with the No. 1 overall picks in the 2014 and 2013 NBA Drafts, respectively.

Minnesota also receives power forward Thaddeus Young from Philadelphia.

The 76ers acquire guard Alexey Shved, forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute as well as a future first-round draft pick. Shved and Mbah a Moute were reserves in Minnesota last season.

While Cleveland and Minnesota discussed a trade involving Love and Wiggins for several weeks, NBA rules prohibited the deal from being consummated until 30 days after Wiggins signed his rookie contract.

Minnesota began listening to offers for Love this summer after the three-time All-Star made it clear he would not re-sign with the team next summer when he was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent.

The Timberwolves listened to proposed packages from several teams, but Cleveland's willingness to include Wiggins in the deal proved most impressive.
