WWE Rumors: Roman Reigns And Dean Ambrose Possibly Teaming Up At Night of Champions [VIDEO]

Two of the three members of The Shield could be reuniting at Night of Champions 2014 as Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose may join forces on Sept. 21 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

TNA Receives Offer From Network For Impact Wrestling

Ambrose was written off of television on the Aug. 18 edition of Monday Night RAW after Seth Rollins delivered the Curb Stomp to him through cinderblocks in order to film a movie, and he may be ready to make a return by Night of Champions.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the movie Ambrose is currently filming, WWE Studios' Lockdown, wraps on Sept. 20, the day before Night of Champions, so it is likely that he will be good to return at the event. Per the report, the Bridgestone Arena is advertising Reigns and Ambrose appearing as a team at the event.

Mixing this knowledge with current storylines, it would appear as though the WWE is planning on having a tag team match pitting Reigns and Ambrose against Rollins and Kane as one of the high-profile matches at Night of Champions.

Ambrose and Reigns, of course, were part of The Shield which disbanded when Rollins turned heel in June.

Rollins took out Ambrose with the help of Kane on Aug. 18 and then Kane and Rollins both took on Reigns on this week's edition of RAW, which seem to be building toward an encounter at the Sept. 21 event between both sides.

The show is headlined by a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match pitting the challenger John Cena against the champion Brock Lesnar in a rematch from SummerSlam that will be the main event for the second consecutive event.

There is also reason to believe that Dolph Ziggler will defend the Intercontinental Championship against The Miz, Sheamus will put his United States Championship on the line against Cesaro and The Usos will battle Goldust and Stardust for the WWE Tag Team Championships after the events of Monday's RAW.

The Divas Championship will be on the line as well, likely with Paige, AJ Lee and Natalya getting involved in some capacity. There have been rumors that Bray Wyatt will battle Chris Jericho again while there is also likely to be a match between Nikki and Brie Bella.

Night of Champions airs live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Sept. 21 and could feature a huge tag match pitting Reigns and Ambrose against Rollins and Kane.
