Eric Bledsoe Trade Rumors: Lakers Trade Speculation Dying Down, Fellow Suns Point Guards Want To Keep 'Mini LeBron' [VIDEO]

The Phoenix Suns are rumored to be shopping guard Eric Bledsoe since they have depth at point guard and remain far apart in contract talks. One Phoenix journalist even went as far as telling fans they could "take it to the bank" that the Suns were actively trying to trade him.

"I'll tell you this, and I think this is the first time it's reported," Jude LaCava said. "I do believe in my NBA sources. You can take this to the bank, so to speak, the Suns are now discussing trade possibilities for Eric Bledsoe. That's the new chapter to this and I wouldn't back off of that information. I think it's 100% correct."

Goran Dragic is an incumbent member of the Phoenix backcourt, and they signed Isaiah Thomas away from the Sacramento Kings this offseason. Despite the crowded situation, both Dragic and Thomas are reportedly hoping Bledsoe is kept.

"I think he is a big part of this team. He was great last year and we played together well. I hope he will sign for the next year," Dragic said.

Thomas was similarly hopeful Bledsoe will return, even though it could mean less playing time.

"People always ask me, 'What's going to happen with you, Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic?' At the end of the day I'm going to play, we're going to play together, we're going to have fun with it and we're going to figure it out," Thomas said.

"I mean whatever happens, it's for the best, and that's how I'm going about it. We're going to compete each and every day, we're going to make each other better and we're going to do what's best for the team."

Bledsoe emerged last season when given an opportunity to play big minutes, posting a career-high 17.7 points along with 5.5 assists and 4.7 rebounds. Despite the big numbers though, injury issues and a lack of maintaining that play for even a full season has the Suns wary of offering the max contract, which he's seeking.
