UFC News and Rumors: Luke Rockhold Apologizes For Instagram Photo Of Him Grabbing A Tiger's Testicles

UFC middleweight contender Luke Rockhold has been known to take chances and stir the pot, but this time he might have went too far.

The former Strikeforce middleweight champion took a trip to Thailand this past weekend and had himself a few adventures, one of which was at an animal park. Rockhold took a few pictures, first putting a tiger cub in a headlock and later giving it a high five.

But his picture with the grown tiger has apparently landed him in some hot water as he is now apologizing for it. Rockhold can be seen holding the tiger's testicles with the caption "Who's your daddy?"

Rockhold later apologized saying, "For those of u who think it was disrespectful I'm sorry. Was so minor just joking around. I was way too scared and would never do anything harmful to any animal."

Rockhold doesn't currently have a fight scheduled but it is likely he could be matched up with his rival Michael Bisping, who he's traded barbs with for the majority of this year. Bisping is coming off a fourth round TKO win in Macau, China. Rockhold was there for the fight and had a run in with Bisping afterwards.

"Ironically, I came down to get coffee the next morning (after the fight), and he happened to be right there in my tracks," Rockhold told MMAFighting.com. "His dad and his little friend that he had with him were giving me crap all week, just saying, 'Bisping is going to kick your butt after he beats Cung Le,' this and that, they were constantly getting in my face or my ear. So he kind of gave me some weird looks and I couldn't help but acknowledge Bisping."

Rockhold underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus three weeks ago and is eyeing a return in December. He believes he can finish Bisping in one round.

"(I see me) walking through his pitter-patter and just putting it on him, doing what I do," Rockhold said. "I just don't have respect for Bisping and his fighting style, and I'll take anything he's going to bring at me. After everything that's happened with him, trust me, I'm just going to go in there and look for the kill. And I believe I can finish him in one round. I truly do."
