Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is healthy again and hoping to lead the Pack back to the postseason. As one of the NFL's elite quarterbacks, Green Bay is expected to rack up points through the air on a weekly basis.

This week though, they'll have to work their magic against the "Legion of Boom," Seattle's vaunted secondary led by cornerback Richard Sherman.

"They play with a lot of confidence, have a little swagger about 'em, and it's a tough place to play," Rodgers said.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy is also entering Week 1 having lost defensive tackle B.J. Raji, who was expected to be a major cog in Green Bay's rush defense. He's a big piece to lose, both literally and figuratively, against a squad with Marshawn Lynch plunging at them, and Russell Wilson a threat to run.

"I think you have to be very impressed with their offense," Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said. "On Russell Wilson and their ability to stay in favorable down and distance and keep the mix of the run and the pass.

"They've always been outstanding running the football, but they look like they're a lot more balanced now."

This matchup is made juicier because of the "Fail Mary" play that allowed Seattle to defeat Green Bay in the regular season two years ago, a fiasco that forced the NFL's hand in ending the referee lockout.

"Those things happen," Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said. "It's what makes us keep coming back. We love the games. We watch so much because of the surprise and the uniqueness of the experience all the time."

That's a sunny take from the coach on the winning end of that controversy-the Packers likely haven't forgotten.
