"I know he doesn't speak loudly of himself which I also admire, but I'll speak loudly for him," Cena said. "I think he's a class act through and through both on and off the field and he is someone that I try to emulate."

The Big Show had a lot of kind words to heap on Jeter and what he's meant to the MLB and how legendary he is in Yankees' lore.

"When you look at Derek Jeter's career and what he's meant to Yankees baseball, to Major League Baseball, Derek Jeter is someone that exemplifies all of those attributes," Show said. "He is a pro, he is a superstar, he is a legend and to baseball fans all around the world he is a hero."

In his final MLB season, Jeter is hitting at a .256/.303/.306 clip in his 20th year in the league along with three homers, 40 RBI and 41 runs scored in 129 games.

The Yankees (74-69) are 10 games behind the Baltimore Orioles (86-59) in the AL East, but they are hunting down a wild-card spot to send the captain off in style.

The Bronx Bombers sit 4.5 games out of a wild-card spot alongside the Cleveland Indians (74-69) while the Toronto Blue Jays (76-69) and Seattle Mariners (79-66) sit in front of them. The last wild-card spot in the AL is currently held by the Detroit Tigers (80-66).

Aside from holding several Yankees franchise marks, Jeter is a five-time World Series champion, 14-time All-Star and five-time Gold Glove Award winner while he won the Rookie of the Year honor in 1996 and was the World Series MVP in 2000.

With the Yankees out of playoff contention as of now, Jeter's final game at Yankee Stadium will likely be when the team hosts the Orioles on Sept. 25 while the last game of his career could be at Fenway Park when the Yankees visit the Boston Red Sox from Sept. 26-28.
