TNA superstar Kurt Angle has been sidelined for sometime after undergoing surgery on his leg, but amid rumors that he will be jumping back to the WWE after his TNA deal is up, Angle took to Twitter to reveal that he can wrestle soon.
"Knee rehab is doing well! Gonna be wrestling soon! #gonnabeepic," Angle tweeted.
Angle, who is serving as the executive director of operations on TNA in storyline, also announced matches that are planned for this week's tapings.
According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Angle and TNA revealed that Bobby Roode vs. Bobby Lashley for the TNA World Heavyweight Title will be filmed at Thursday's Impact Wrestling tapings in Bethlehem, Pa. and The Wolves vs. The Hardys vs. Team 3D in a Full Metal Mayhem match for the TNA Tag Team Championships will occur at Friday's tapings.
There has been speculation that Angle has wanted to return to WWE, where he debuted in 1999, and that he has had some meetings though it remains to be seen if the company is interested in bringing him back. Angle's contract is reportedly set to expire in October.
Angle told Ring Rust Radio earlier this month that he couldn't really speak about his plans.
"Well right now I'm not at liberty to say where I'm going but I will tell you I'm going to do the right thing for me and my family," Angle told the program. "I am in the process of structuring a deal and I do have a company in mind. I haven't said yes because I want to make it a public thing with the company and myself. I can't really say who it is or where I'm going but I can tell you it's going to happen in the next two weeks before my contract is even up. I won't be wrestling until January but there will be a signing in the next couple of weeks."
Angle is a five-time WWE Champion and six-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion and while it remains to be seen what his plans are, he appears to be inching his way toward a return.
