Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that Roode would the belt during the tapings in Bethlehem, Pa. and that the episode in which he defeated Lashley will air on Spike TV on Oct. 29 if the company taped the episodes in order. That episode will air after Bound For Glory on Oct. 12 in Tokyo.

Kurt Angle served as the special guest referee for that match, which served as the main event for the show. The match was reportedly dominated by Lashley, but the ending saw Angle take two bumps and then stop Lashley from using the belt as a weapon. Angle counted the pin on Lashley and Roode was crowned champion.

Kurt Angle Tweets That He Will Wrestle Again Soon

Elsewhere on that particular episode, The Hardys defeated Ethan Carter III and Tyrus, who was known as Brodus Clay in the WWE.

James Storm, Manik and The Great Sanada came out for a segment and Storm called out Davey Richards and offered him a spot in their group. Eddie Edwards then interrupted to talk Richards out of it. Storm then took on Edwards one-on-one and Storm picked up the victory after The Wolves started arguing.

In another segment, MVP and Kenny King cut a promo about a tag team tournament to crown new No. 1 contenders and then lost to Low Ki and Samoa Joe in a tag team match.

In Knockouts action, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky defeated Madison Rayne and Taryn Terrell after Rayne turned on Terrell and went after Love and Sky.

There will be a major change in storyline direction next month as a new TNA Champion is crowned and Roode is now on top of the TNA mountain.
