No. 1 Florida State will get their first challenge of the year against No. 22 Clemson and they will have to do it for one half without Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston.

Winston has been suspended for the first half of this game for standing on a table on campus Tuesday and shouting obscenities derived from an internet meme. Coach Jimbo Fisher addressed the benching and said that Winston’s behavior warranted the punishment.

"It's not something we want or we're indicative of and it's not a good decision," coach Jimbo Fisher said. "It was something that has to be addressed.”

As for Clemson, they have not forgotten the beating they took at the hands of the Seminoles last year to the tune of 51-14. Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris said that the team has not forgotten 2013 and has used that game as motivation throughout the week.

"We've tried to remind these guys that we did get embarrassed out here, make no mistake about it," Morris said. "Yes, we've definitely talked about it.”

That loss to the Seminoles knocked the Tigers out of the national championship hunt and sent quarterback in Tajh Boyd and receiver Sammy Watkins to the NFL with sour tastes in their mouths. The Tigers fell from No. 16 to No. 23 after a 45-21 loss to No. 13 Georgia in the season opener.

Florida State is 19-8 against Clemson all-time and have won 10 of 11 at home by the combined score of 425-167.
