After their heartbreaking loss to Boston College, No. 18 USC will play undefeated Oregon State in a matchup of Pac-12 rivals.
The Trojans had a bye week last weekend and will take the field for the first time since they lost 37-31 to Boston College on September 13. Coach Steve Sarkisian said he expects his team to respond well after the loss, but that it is always hard to have your bye week after dropping a game.
"It's always a little bit more difficult when you come off a loss like that and then you have a bye because you have to sit with the loss much longer than you normally would if you were playing the following Saturday," Sarkisian said.
USC beat Fresno State and then-No. 13 Stanford to get to 2-0 before losing to Boston College while the Beavers have topped Portland State, Hawaii and San Diego State. USC finishes the season with No. 11 UCLA on the road and then home against No. 8 Notre Dame.
The Trojans lead the all-time series with Oregon State 60-11-4, but have split the last six games. The Trojans have won 33 of the last 37 games against the Beavers.
