Detroit Rumors: Ndamukong Suh, Lions to Part Ways at End of 2014; All-Pro Prefers Giants, Jets [VIDEO]

The Detroit Lions have first place in the NFC North all to themselves, but the team is preparing for a huge loss for the 2015 season and beyond.

According to league sources, the Lions are preparing to lose defensive tackle and free-agent-to-be Ndamukong Suh. The source believes that Suh will leave the Lions after this season and he prefers to play in a bigger city like New York.

The Giants and Jets would both be likely destinations for the three-time Pro Bowler, but teams like the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears would also be interested in his services. Suh is one of the best, if not the best, defensive tackles in the NFL and would be a welcome addition to any NFL team.

In his five years with the Lions, Suh has totaled 28.5 sacks and gained a reputation for being one of the most aggressive players in the league. Suh has a mean streak in the league and has been suspended in the past for an on-the-field incident when he stepped on former-Green Bay Packer guard Evan Dietrich-Smith.

Suh was the No. 2 overall pick for the Lions in the 2010 NFL draft.
