Chris Gayle Instagram: West Indies Star Expects to Return for India Tests, Remains Active on IG Despite Injury [PHOTO] [VIDEO]

West Indies star batsman Chris Gayle expects to return from a back injury in time for the Test series in India starting Oct. 30. Gayle hasn't played competitive cricket since the first Test against Bangladesh in early September.

"My recovery has been coming on nicely, and I expect to be fully fit and ready in time for the Test series," Gayle told the Jamaica Gleaner, according to ESPNcricinfo. "The injury is the same one that has been affecting my back in recent times, but so far it has been coming on well. I have been able to give it some rest and as each day progresses, it keeps getting better and better."

The lower back injury will force Gayle to miss the limited-overs leg of the India tour. Gayle has played well over the summer, recording three half-centuries in his last four games.

While he's been out of action for the past few weeks the man who calls himself "World Boss" has remained active on social media, a delight to his 80,000-plus Instagram followers. One of his recent photos suggests he has begun another venture, with a caption that reads, "I'm in the movie industry now. #Actor #MovieStar #RealityTvShow":

Here he is showing off his suits and his car:

The five-match India vs. West Indies ODI series will begin Oct. 8.
