As recently as seven month ago, caddie Steve Williams said his relationship with Tiger Woods was still icy. On Wednesday, Williams made an initial attempt at thawing by talking reunion.
According to ESPN.com, Williams, who first said he was planning to stop caddying, and then backtracked when asked whether he was interested in working with Tiger Woods again.

"He's definitely someone I'd consider," Williams said. "He's a tremendous talent, but it's hard to say right now because it's only two weeks since I've hung up the clubs," Williams said.
Williams caddied for Woods from 1999-2011, with Woods winning 13 of his 14 majors and 72 tournaments overall. Williams stayed with Woods during his extra-marital affairs scandal was revealed in 2009, but Woods unceremoniously dumped him in the summer of 2011.

Woods simply said he needed a change, and the announcement shocked Williams.
"Given the circumstances of the past 18 months working through Tiger's scandal, a new coach and with it a major swing change and Tiger battling through injuries, I am very disappointed to end our very successful partnership at this time," Williams said, according to The Guardian.
The caddie, who spent 3 ½ years with Adam Scott before stepping down two weeks ago, said in March that his relationship with Woods still had not been repaired.
"There's been a lot of ... this, that and the other ... but the hatchet hasn't been buried," the caddie said in an interview with Australia Fox Sports, as reported by the Los Angeles Times. "It's just personal things and a difference of opinions on how things went down ... and I need to sort that out with him."
Woods parted with swing coach Sean Foley over the summer and has yet to name a replacement.
Perhaps, Williams is hoping to sort out the issues with his statement. CBSSports.com speculates that Williams might not want to hold his breath waiting for a response from Woods.
In response to Williams' uncertainty whether he would accept an offer from Tiger, having just retired, CBSSports.com stated, "Not sure that's going to be a decision you have to make, Steve, not sure at all."
