No. 1 Florida State is back in action as they look to get their second win in the ACC against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
The Seminoles have won all four of their games this year, but have had their fair share of scares in their way to 4-0. Quarterback and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston spoke about getting the ball rolling in the right direction despite all the distractions off the field.
"There's no pressure when the football field is your sanctuary," Winston said. "Because when you step in between those lines, literally in between those lines, that's all that matters.”
Florida State snuck out wins against Oklahoma State in Week 1 and against Clemson in Week 3, all while enduring the distractions that have come from Winston. Whether he is making noise on campus or off, the Seminoles seem to be overcoming it.
Florida State leads the all-time series against Wake Forest 25-6-1 and the Demon Deacons last win came in 2011. Florida State has won the last two match ups by a combined score of 111 to 3. Winston is still alive in the Heisman Trophy race and an impressive performace agaisnt the Demon Deacons could vault him to the top of the list.
