SABRES vs HURRICANES Watch FREE Live Stream Online & Listen: Live NHL Coverage from CAROLINA

Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Buffalo Sabres (0-3-0, zero points) and Carolina Hurricanes (0-2-0, zero points) take the ice live from the PNC Arena in North Carolina. The game can be live streamed for free here. Buffalo fans can hear all of the action on WGR 550 while Carolina fans can do the same on 99.9 The Fan.

Both teams are in search of their first wins as Buffalo lost its first three games to the Columbus Blue Jackets, Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks while Carolina lost a home-and-home to the New York Islanders on Friday and Saturday.

The Sabres were out-shot 44-12 in their latest loss to the Ducks and have been out-shot 131-57 through their first three games, drawing the ire of head coach Ted Nolan.

"Two steps ahead, and we try to catch up and [we're] out of position, not strong enough, not committed enough," Nolan told NHL.com. "No desperation, that's the bottom line. To me, that's probably the most frustrating."

Buffalo is looking to find its scoring touch as it has notched only four goals from two different players through its first three games. Tyler Ennis and Zemgus Girgensons each have two tallies for the Sabres while Drew Stafford has three assists for a team-best three points.

Already without Jeff Skinner (concussion) and Jordan Staal (broken leg) the Hurricanes have continued to get banged up through the first two games as captain Eric Staal (upper-body) and Patrick Dwyer (lower-body) are now also sidelined.

Staal had a goal and one assist and was one of just four Carolina players to find the twine thus far this season before his injury.

"It's a long, long year and we're getting hit with some injuries right now, but you play through it and away you go," Hurricanes coach Bill Peters said per NHL.com. "That's why you have guys down in the minors that are NHL players that are ready to go and help you out."

Jiri Tlusty has accounted for half of the Hurricane's goals, finding the back of the net three times in two games against the Islanders and adding one assist for a team-best four points.

Cam Ward is the probable starter in between the pipes for Carolina tonight after yielding five goals on 26 shots in the loss against New York while Buffalo will likely counter with Jhonas Enroth, who is 0-2-0 with a 4.50 goals-against average and a .897 save percentage.

Two teams in search of their first wins clash when the lights come up at PNC Arena on the Sabres and Hurricanes tonight in North Carolina.
