Kansas City Royals pitcher Jeremy Guthrie came under fire for his T-shirt choice after the team's 2-1 Game 3 victory Tuesday night over the Baltimore Orioles in the American League Division Series. Guthrie apologized Wednesday on Twitter.
Guthrie wore a T-shirt that read, "These O's ain't Royal" after Kansas City took a 3-0 series lead.

Guthrie pitched for the Orioles from 2007-11 and was a fan favorite there while compiling a 47-65 record during that stretch.
Guthrie, 35, who went 13-11 with a 4.13 ERA in the regular season, apologized to Orioles fans for his T-shirt and said that he didn't mean any harm by it.
"My positive feelings for the Charm City, O's organization, my former teammates and O's fans is well documented," Guthrie said in a tweet that has since been deleted, according to The Baltimore Sun. "Nothing I wore [tonight] changes that."
Guthrie, who made his postseason debut Wednesday night, held Baltimore to one run on three hits in five innings while receiving a no-decision.
Guthrie hopes the negative headlines disappear Wednesday at Kauffman Stadium, where the Royals look to secure a spot in the World Series with a sweep of the Orioles.
Billy Butler drove in what proved to be the winning run in Tuesday's Game 3 victory on a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning, improving the Royals to 7-0 this postseason after defeating the Oakland Athletics in the AL Wild-Card game and sweeping the Los Angeles Angels in the ALDS.
The Royals are looking to get into the World Series for the first time since winning it all in 1985.
