Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young won't be seeing action on the court anytime soon while he recovers from a hand injury, but that won't stop him from coming to the defense of his girlfriend, rapper Iggy Azalea.
Azalea has recently been fielding barbs on social media from rapper Snoop Dogg. This all started on Friday when ETOnline posted a photo of Azalea without makeup and Snoop Dogg jokingly posted a photo on his Instagram of a man with cornrows, insinuating that's how Azalea looks:
The "Fancy" rapper fired back on Twitter in a now-deleted picture of Snoop Dogg titled, "When your drug addict aunt gets clean," according to Bleacher Report. The tweet that accompanied the photo read, "Glass houses @snoopdogg Im a "b----" because i called u out for being a closet fan? Grow up & god bless." Snoop then posted memes comparing Azalea to the Wayans brothers in their hit movie White Chicks:

More social media battling went on, including Snoop Dogg posting an Instagram video with some very NSFW language calling Azalea the "c" word. Young finally came to his girlfriend's aide and responded to Snoop Dogg on Twitter:

Things might get awkward when the season starts, as Snoop is a Lakers fan and usually sits courtside at home games.
The 29-year-old Young averaged 17.9 points in his first year with the Lakers. Though he is a solid scorer, he doesn't do much else with averages of 2.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
Young will miss extended time to start the season after tearing a ligament in his thumb while guarding star teammate Kobe Bryant in practice.
