Boston Bruins Rumors: Milan Lucic Being Investigated For Lewd Gesture To Canadiens Fans [VIDEO]

The NHL is reviewing a vulgar gesture that Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic apparently made during the third period of the team's loss to the Montreal Canadiens Thursday night.

ESPN reports that the NHL is looking into a gesture the winger made when he skated to the penalty box during the team's 6-4 loss to the Canadiens at the Bell Centre.

According to the report, after Lucic was given a two-minute penalty at 18:40 of the third period for boarding Alexei Emelin. Lucic was unhappy with the call and entered the box, making a motion with his right hand before mocking the fans as if he was holding the Stanley Cup.

Lucic was then ejected from the game after the Canadiens iced the victory with an empty-net power play goal and he screamed something at the referee.

The Canadiens defeated the Bruins in the first meeting between these teams since Montreal knocked off Boston in seven games in Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Lucic, who has two assists in six games, has a storied history with the Canadiens after that series for his infamous actions during the handshake line where he was seen yelling something at the Montreal players.

Expected to be an Eastern Conference powerhouse, Boston fell to 2-4-0 (four points) on the season in the loss, which was its fourth defeat in five games.

Montreal, meanwhile, is picking up right where it left off with their trip to the Eastern Conference Finals last season, and has skated to a 4-1-0 (eight points) start this season.

The Bruins and Canadiens faceoff for the second time this season on Nov. 13 in Montreal.
