The No. 13 Ohio State Buckeyes will play only their second game in four weeks as they square off against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in the first ever meeting between the schools.
Ohio State is looking to build a four-game win streak agains t the Scarlet Knights and remain undefeated in the Big Ten. Coach Urban Meyer spoke about his team and what it means to win three games in a row.
"Once again, I like our team," coach Urban Meyer said. "We're certainly nowhere near where we'll end up, in my opinion. We're still growing and getting better. We're a much better team than we were two weeks ago and that's because you get in the game and gain experience."
"As far as myself, I'm just trying to get better during the week and not wait until game day to just react to everything," he said after beating Maryland. "I learn the defense on Tuesday and Wednesday so come Saturday I can have that confidence and go out and play.”
Ohio State is still looking for that signature win that will vault them back into the top 10, but this Rutgers team is not that game. The Scarlet Knights are coming off a win at home against Michigan, which earned them their first ever win in the Big 10. Rutgers also brings in a three-game win streak after their only loss to the Penn State Nittany Lions.
Ohio State’s lone loss looks a little worse as of this matchup as Virginia Tech lost to Pittsburgh on Thursday Night Football this week.
