Chicago Bears Rumors: Brandon Marshall Calls Out Jay Cutler After 'Unacceptable' Loss [VIDEO]

The Chicago Bears had some issues in their locker room following Sunday afternoon's loss to the Miami Dolphins and wide receiver Brandon Marshall reportedly called out Jay Cutler for his poor play.

According to ESPN, there was arguments taking place in the Bears locker room following their 27-14 loss to the Dolphins and a source indicated that amid the yelling Marshall called out Cutler, who is a close friend of his off the field.

The source told the affiliate that there "are some very selfish individuals in the locker room." For his part, Marshall wasn't willing to share with the media what went on behind closed doors other than saying how frustrated the team is.

"We lost, there should be a lot of frustration," Marshall said per ESPN. "You should hear frustration. We're 3-4. Yeah, this means everything to a lot of guys in this locker room. This means a lot."

When the media started to dig deeper into the issues Marshall had with his teammates following the loss, the receiver fired back.

"OK, were you in here?" Marshall asked the media. "Were you in this locker room? This is a team matter. That has nothing to do with you. There's a lot of guys this means a lot to. We're 3-4. We need to play better. That's unacceptable. That's unacceptable. Unacceptable; shouldn't have lost today, shouldn't be 3-4. [The] offense [has] got to play better. It's as simple as that."

Cutler went 21-for-34 (61.76 percent) for 190 yards with a touchdown, an interception and two fumbles during the game, allowing Miami to notch 10 points off of the quarterback's turnovers alone. Cutler is 177-for-263 (67.3 percent) this season for 1,866 yards with 14 scores and seven picks.

Marshall said the team needs to cut back on its mistakes as their three wins came on the heels of Cutler not turning the ball over while they've dropped four games in which he's committed a turnover.

"Same mistakes, same mistakes, same mistakes," Marshall said. "We've got to protect the football. We've got to protect the football. We've got to execute the game plan. We've got to adjust when things don't go as we saw on the film. We've got Alshon Jeffery, Martellus Bennett [and] Matt Forte. We've got a stud offensive line. We've got a great, great group of guys, and this is unacceptable. What did we put up, 14 points? Was it 14 points? That's unacceptable."

Cutler said the team was "down on this one" following the game and that things were emotional while coach Marc Trestman took accountability for the defeat.

Marshall, who was targeted 10 times and had six receptions for 48 yards to give him 31 catches for 349 yards and five touchdowns this season, stuck by his quarterback in the end.

"Yeah, Jay's a gunslinger," Marshall said. "Jay's our guy. Jay's our leader."

After losses in three of their last four games, the Bears travel to New England for a battle with the Patriots (5-2) next Sunday afternoon in Week 8 action.
