Washington Redskins Rumors: RG3 Set to Return for Monday Night Football? [VIDEO]

The Washington Redskins walked away with an ugly win against the Tennessee Titans with Colt McCoy at quarterback, but their quarterback situation could be changing for the better sooner than they first believed.

According to CSN Washington via Rotoworld, quarterback Robert Griffin III has looked great in practice and they expect him to get the start for the Redskins on Monday Night Football.

Bills Lose C.J. Spiller, Fred Jackson in Win

“In the outside chance Griffin looks "great" in practice, top beat writer John Keim expects him to get the nod Monday night against Dallas. If not, it's expected to be Colt McCoy under center. Kirk Cousins has played his way off the map with nine interceptions in the last five games.

Griffin was not playing well in Jay Gruden's pocket-passer scheme prior to his injury, but is on the QB1 map anytime he starts due to dual-threat ability. RG3 is a must-add for anyone in need of quarterback help.”

The Redskins sit at 2-5 and last in the NFC East, but have had a hard time finding a quarterback that can play at a high level consistently. Griffin is the teams starter going forward, but backup Kirk Cousins gave him a run for his starting job before completely imploding these past few weeks.

Cousins was benched for Colt McCoy on Sunday after throwing his ninth interception of the season. McCoy led the Redskins to a victory, including a 70-yard touchdown pass on his first attempt of the season.
