South Africa took the first win of its three-match ODI series against New Zealand and will look to take a 2-0 advantage in the second match on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. ET. Live stream the match by clicking this link.

South Africa dominated an injury-ridden New Zealand team in the first match. Ross Taylor was already out, and now Kane Williamson will miss the entire ODI series so New Zealand is definitely at a disadvantage. But Tim Southee will return to the lineup, according to ESPNCricinfo after missing the first match with a shoulder injury and should give the team a boost.

Luke Ronchi and Trent Boult were the only two players to play well in the first match and will have to continue to impress for New Zealand to bounce back.

South Africa is still experimenting with lineup combinations in preparation for the World Cup and a win in the second match gives them a chance to continue toying with their lineup in the final ODI.

Rilee Rossouw played in the first match and contributed a solid 26. David Miller had to sit out due to a viral infection but is likely to get a chance in the second match. Rossouw was used at the No. 4 spot but Miller is more of a lower-order batsman. Vernon Philander also played well early in the first match but faded late, so it will be up to captain AB de Villers to use him effectively.
