Tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET the Chicago Bulls will open their 2014-15 season against the New York Knicks, in a matchup of Eastern Conference foes that have both undergone changes from last year. The Bulls added Pau Gasol to their frontcourt as an upgrade from Carlos Boozer, and also bring back point guard Derrick Rose, a former league MVP. Rose returned last season from a torn ACL for just 10 games before suffering a season-ending torn meniscus.

Now that Rose has returned, the Bulls are thinking about titles. "The possibilities are endless," center Joakim Noah said.

"I think the sky's the limit, especially when you bring a guy like Derrick back -- not only what he means as a talent, but what he means to the city."

The Knicks are entering the season with a new head coach in Derek Fisher, who is implementing Phil Jackson's famed Triangle offense. Knicks star Carmelo Anthony thinks there will be an adjustment period in which players will have to change their games, but highlighted a new attitude Fisher has brought.

"You can just see everybody is rejuvenated again. Everybody wants to win, everybody wants to do what's right to help this team be successful. So at the end of the day, I believe that we'll be there at the end," Anthony said.

The Knicks are gunning for a playoff berth after missing out last season, and Anthony said they haven't forgotten the pain and embarrassment missing the postseason caused.

"The pain, what I endured last year and we felt as a team, we don't want to go back down that lane no more," Anthony said. "We don't want to feel that pain."
