TNA Wrestling News And Rumors: TNA Possibly Staying With Spike TV As Negotiations Over Impact Wrestling Continue [VIDEO]

After months of negotiations with other networks, it appears as though TNA Impact Wrestling may be staying on Spike TV after all.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that there is a strong feeling within the company that its flagship show will end up staying on Spike TV, which would likely mean that the company will have to settle for less money as the network likely doesn't want to pay them what they are looking for.

While it seemed as though the negotiations were over between the two sides, a source within Spike TV noted that they are still talking. People within TNA have also said that the sides have never stopped talking despite the speculation and the them re-negotiating a deal was always a possibility.

It was revealed earlier this year that Spike TV was looking to get out of the pro wrestling business and was going to drop Impact Wrestling from its schedule when the deal between the two partners expired last month.

Spike then decided it wanted to be a helpful partner for TNA and opted to keep it on the network through the rest of 2014 until Impact Wrestling found a new station to carry it for 2015 and beyond.

TNA and president Dixie Carter have been in negotiations with several different outlets over the last few months and it appeared as though they were closing in on announcing a deal. However, it turns out the announcement that has been teased is likely going to be Carter revealing that Kurt Angle will remain with the company.

Angle has yet to re-sign a pact with TNA after his negotiations with the WWE went south, but he is expected to return to TNA on a part-time deal as he also focuses on acting.

TNA had a policy that they weren't going to re-sign any talents until a television deal was in place, but Angle is either an exception or a sign that the organization is closing in on a new deal.

Despite the fact that TNA has negotiated with several other networks, it appears as though Impact Wrestling may just stay on Spike TV once a new deal is reached.
