TNA Wrestling News and Rumors: Update On Impact Wrestling's Future With Spike TV [VIDEO]

Spike TV has opted to bump the episode of Impact Wrestling that airs on Thanksgiving Eve, but it appear as though TNA's flagship program will still remain on the network through the rest of 2014.

Roman Reigns Could Return To WWE By December

Spike TV has a movie listed in Impact Wrestling's timeslot for Nov. 26, however Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that it is only a one-night deal and the show will continue to air on the network from the following week through at least the end of 2014.

The station made the change in schedule because with it being Thanksgiving Eve, it's usually a bad night for television ratings so Spike has opted to air a movie in place of Impact Wrestling.

There have been reports that despite the fact that Spike TV planned on getting out of the pro wrestling business by dropping TNA from the network completely by 2015, the two sides are still in negotiations to work out a deal to keep Impact on the station long-term.

The network may also air something else in place of Impact Wrestling on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31 as Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve are also bad nights for television ratings.

TNA has only taped enough episodes to last through the Nov. 19 edition of Impact Wrestling, which airs a week before the movie takes up the time slot on Nov. 26.

There has been no confirmation about when TNA's next tapings will be and what their plans are for future events beyond Nov. 19.

Spike announced that it was planning on dropping TNA from its schedule last month when the deal between the two sides expired, but the network opted to be a good partner and keep Impact Wrestling on the network through 2015 while the company searches for a new home.

TNA has been in negotiations with multiple networks, but recent reports have indicated that the company could very well stay with Spike TV as both sides continue to talk.

The future of TNA on Spike TV beyond 2014 is uncertain, but aside from a few holiday road blocks, Impact Wrestling will continue to air weekly on the network until the end of the year.
