Reports indicate that the following was taped Tuesday for the episode of WWE SmackDown that is set to air this Friday from Liverpool, England as the company counts down to the Survivor Series on Nov. 23 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
In the main event of the night, Ryback defeated Kane by DQ after the "Big Red Machine" hit him with a steel chair. The Authority was watching the match at ringside and brought him into the ring for a beat down, but Ryback was able to bounce back and hit Shellshocked on Kane to close the show.
The program opened up with a special edition of Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel where he had The Authority as his guests. Jericho is done with his stint in the WWE, but he has been working on this month's European tour.
In other action, Bray Wyatt defeated Sin Cara via Sister Abigail. Wyatt cut a promo after the bout and was interrupted by Dean Ambrose. Wyatt escaped Ambrose and began laughing from the stage.
Elsewhere on the show, Dolph Ziggler defeated Tyson Kidd and Cesaro in a Triple Threat elimination match to retain the Intercontinental Championship. Kidd eliminated Cesaro first and then Ziggler knocked Kidd out of the match.
In tag team action, Goldust & Stardust defeated Adam Rose and the Bunny while in a Divas encounter, Natalya defeated Layla with the Sharpshooter.
This episode continued to build toward the Survivor Series as it was the second to last SmackDown episode before the November Classic.
