WWE Rumors: [PHOTO] Vince McMahon Makes Surprise Appearance At SmackDown Tapings In England [VIDEO]

WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon made a surprising and rare appearance during Tuesday's SmackDown tapings in Liverpool, England.

Multiple sources report that McMahon's appearance seemed as though it wasn't televised and he just showed up before the live audience prior to the show being filmed.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, McMahon told the fans in attendance that the name Liverpool sounds like a skin disease. McMahon also apologized for the WWE Network television debacle in the U.K. that saw the network launch recently get pushed back.

McMahon's appearance came just moments after the show opened with fans peppering the WWE with "Where's our Network" chants, which has been going on throughout the WWE's European tour this month.

A photo surfaced on Twitter of McMahon appearing on the stage:

McMahon recently returned to WWE television for the first time in a long time to reveal that the stipulation to the Team Authority vs. Team Cena match was that if Team Authority loses, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon will lose their power.

The WWE rounded out the teams for the main event of Survivor Series as Team Cena will consist of captain John Cena, Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus, The Big Show and one other person (likely Ryback).

Team Authority, meanwhile, is captained by Seth Rollins and includes Kane, Luke Harper, United States Champion Rusev and Mark Henry.

There were rumors that a struggle for power storyline was set to develop between McMahon and Triple H with a match featuring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson vs. "The Game" at WrestleMania 31 having control of the company on the line, but that may not come to fruition.

McMahon reportedly doesn't want to regularly appear on television anymore, so it is unknown if the storyline will happen.

McMahon's appearance at SmackDown was surprising, but it isn't expected to air on Friday night.
