Ronaldo Scores His 200th Goal For Madrid in Malaga Thrashing

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 200 goals in 197 games for Real Madrid, after yesterday's 6-2 thrashing of Malaga.

Goals from Raul Albiol, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mesut Ozil, Karim Benzema, Angel Di Maria and Luka Modric wrapped up the win for Los Merengues, with the visitors ending the match with nine men after Sergio Sanchez and Martin Demichelis got sent off.

Madrid started as early as the third minute when Alboil tipped in a header off a Modric cross, putting them 1-0 up before the fifth minute.

Roque Santa Cruz equalized in the 15th minute when he shot in a Isco Alarcon corner.

in the 21st minute things got bad for Malaga, as Sergio Sanchez received a straight red card and conceded a penalty. Ronaldo's penalty was saved by Argentinean goalie Willy Caballero and the match stayed tied at 1-1.

What followed was an onslaught of goals by Ronaldo and Ozil who made it 3-1 by the 34th minute, with Vitorino Antunes being able to pull one back for Malaga to make it 3-2 going in the half.

Benzema scored early in the second half, allowing Madrid to take control of the game, and Modric and Di Maria secured the three points in the 63rd and 92nd minutes.

With this victory, Madrid made sure Barcelona will have to wait at least until Sunday, to wrap up their 22nd league title.

Barcelona need two more points to secure the league crown back from their arch rivals, and win their fourth La Liga trophy in five years. A win at third-place Atletico Madrid on Sunday would be enough for Tito Vilanova's side to celebrate.

Barca have 88 points from 34 games, with Real Madrid in second with 80 points from 35. Atletico Madrid, who secured a champions league spot last Wednesday in their 3-1 win over Celta Vigo, sit in third place with 72 points in 34 games.
