The Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass remains a mystery to Tiger Woods, who has just one top-10 finish in The Players Championship since his lone victory in 2001. He is only 1 under par but there is plenty of golfing to do.
Phil Mickelson is tied with Tiger at 1 under par, and seems to be finding his game as the day goes on while Vijay Singh finds himself struggling, as he is 1 over par through 5 holes.
Singh is in the midst of suing the PGA for exposing him to "public humiliation and ridicule" during a 12-week investigation into his use of a controversial performance enhancer called "deer antler spray." Regarding his lawsuit, Singh released a statement that read:
"I am proud of my achievement, my work ethic and the way I live my life. The PGA Tour not only treated me unfairly, but displayed a lack of professionalism that should concern every professional golfer and fan of the game."
