War Machine Latest News Update: 'Not Guilty' Plea Entered In Assault Of Christy Mack, Friend Corey Thomas [VIDEO]

Former mixed martial arts fighter War Machine, born Jonathan Koppenhaver, has pleaded not guilty to the 34 charges pending against him including attempted murder, sexual assault and kidnapping.

The last couple of months have been tumultuous for War Machine. He was on the run from authorities for a week this summer after allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend, adult film star Christy Mack, and her friend Corey Thomas. He was apprehended and attempted to commit suicide in his jail cell.

Attempted Murder, Sexual Assault, Kidnapping Charges Upheld After Hearing

After the suicide attempt War Machine indicated he had changed his mind about wanting to end his life after talking with officers in prison.

""A few very nice officers came and spoke to me while I was on suicide watch, made me realize a few things, mostly that I called it quits too early. Never in my life have I been a quitter, and I know that my perseverance is the main quality which makes me appealing to fans ... and I'll be the first to say that I bi****d out way too prematurely," he wrote.

His bizarre behavior continued though. He has been writing poetry in jail that's been posted to Twitter, and addressed his mind state when Mack testifies against him.

"When she testifies against me, helping the state to take away my LIFE, I curse her inwardly," he wrote. "When I see her cry, when I see the one I loved in pain ... I fight my shackles in my mind, I fight everyone and everything barring me from comforting her with an embrace."

His heartbreak is contradicted by behavior he displayed in the courtroom at a preliminary hearing, however, when Judge Melanie Andress-Tobiasson herself said "I watched him laugh." War Machine had been called out by prosecutors for smiling and laughing during Mack's harrowing testimony in which she described him assaulting her and cutting off her hair with a knife.
