The 2014 season has not gone all that well for rookie quarterback Blake Bortles, and now reports are surfacing that he has split from model girlfriend Lindsey Duke. The two had been together since they were in high school, but a source close to the Jacksonville Jaguars rookie recently indicated that they split months ago.

According to media reports, the pair received plenty of publicity since Bortles emerged as a top quarterback prospect last year at the University of Central Florida. He was taken third overall by Jacksonville during the NFL draft back in May.
Leading up to the draft, Bortles was repeatedly questioned about his relationship with Duke, and at times that seemed like a bigger source of his notoriety than his football talent.
News of the split was broken on Twitter by another University of Central Florida alum who claimed to know Bortles' family. The report also indicates that it was Bortles who pulled the trigger on the breakup.

Bortles in the past had made comments regarding the relative popularity of the two, noting that a Google search for her yielded several million more hits than searching for him. "Apparently she is more of a household name than I am and there's nothing I can really do about that," said Bortles.
Reports of the breakup are given credence by the recent pictures posted on Duke's Instagram account. The pictures show her out partying with friends, and Bortles does not appear in any of the photos.
The Jaguars travel to Indianapolis to face the Colts on Sunday. Through 10 games, Jacksonville is 1-9, and Bortles has thrown for eight touchdowns against 14 interceptions.
