Travis Kelce Obscene Gesture: Chiefs Tight End's Lewd Move Directed At Von Miller, Not Referee [VIDEO]

The Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Denver Broncos last night, but tight end Travis Kelce still managed to capture Twitter's attention. After a personal foul on Broncos linebacker Von Miller, Travis Kelce was walking by the referee, and the cameras caught him making a very rude gesture in disgust.

According to media reports, many took to Twitter immediately speculating that Kelce's gesture was directed toward the referee, which seemed odd since the penalty on the play was being called against Denver. After the game, Kelce felt the need to explain himself after becoming aware of the reaction his gesture generated.

Via Twitter, Kelce explained, "My gesture on the TV tonight wasn't toward the ref... [Von Miller] had a cheep shot on my QB, so I thought he deserved a shot to the face." Kelce has since deleted the tweet.

Kelce's gesture and subsequent explanation created a bit of a stir on the internet, although they did nothing to distract anyone from the fact that Kansas City's loss to Denver puts them in a bind in the playoff race.

The Chiefs now sit at 7-5, two games behind Denver in the division and have lost both head-to-head matchups with the Broncos, meaning their only real playoff hope lies in snagging a wild card berth. Even that will be no easy task, as they also trail the San Diego Chargers by a game, and every team in the AFC North has a record of 7-5 or better also.
