Anderson Silva vs. Nick Diaz: 'Spider' Opponent Won't Attack Broken Leg At UFC 183 [VIDEO]

Anticipation is building for January's UFC 183 and its headliner bout between Anderson "Spider" Silva and Nick Diaz. Despite being known for having a bit of a renegade reputation in the Octagon through the years, Diaz is exhibiting a bit of sportsmanship when it comes to talking about his opponent.

Silva famously shattered his leg kicking Chris Weidman's shin during a December 2013 fight. The injury was so devastating that many predicted Spider would never return to the MMA circuit again.

One might think that the surgically repaired leg would be a prime target of Diaz's attack, but the 31-year-old dismissed the idea at a recent press conference.

"When someone tells you a fighter's injured and they tell you to go after an injury, it really throws you off," Diaz said in remarks first captured by Yahoo Sports. "It would be sad to lose a fight on account of, you're trying to concentrate on capitalizing on someone's weakness when it comes to injury and something like that, [rather than fighting] your fight without worrying about something like that."

We'll see if Diaz is adheres to his word on January 31, when UFC 183 goes down in Las Vegas.
