The healthy Thunder have bounced back nicely from a putrid, injury-plagued start to the season by winning seven straight games with dual All Stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook leading the way. They've clicked from the start, and might be catching the Warriors in a somewhat vulnerable state.

Golden State's streak was the talk of the NBA in the early going, but now that it's gone, they must avoid a lull.

"We won 16 games in a row, and that's hard to come by," forward Draymond Green said. "It doesn't happen every day. It was a great streak. Streaks are made to be broken. We can't expect to win 60 games in a row."

While Durant's return from a broken foot has been a blessing for OKC, it's been their defensive improvement that has been the biggest catalyst for their run.

"We just stayed poised because we've been there before. It's not our first time," Durant said after OKC blew a 16-point lead vs. Sacramento. "We've just been trying to get better every single day. I can't keep preaching that enough. Defensively we've been locking in."

On offense Durant hasn't reached his peak. After winning the MVP award last season and averaging a career-best 32.5 points a night, Durant has scored 21.5 per game this season in limited minutes. Westbrook has picked up the slack, averaging 32 points, eight assists and 7.1 rebounds.
